چکیده

Millimeter-wave radar and machine vision are both important means for intelligent vehicles to perceive the surrounding environment. Aiming at problem of multi-sensor fusion, this paper proposes object detection method millimeter-wave fusion. Radar camera complement each other, data fusion in network can effectively reduce rate missed under insufficient light conditions, improve accuracy remote small detection. The information is processed by mapping transformation neural obtain mask map, so that visual same scale. A multi-data source deep learning (MS-YOLO) based on was proposed. Homemade datasets were used training testing. This maximized use sensor improved premise ensuring speed. Compared with original YOLOv5 (the fifth version You Only Look Once) network, results show MS-YOLO meets requirements better. Among models, large model has highest an mAP reaching 0.888. good speed, reaches 0.841 while maintaining a high frame 65 fps.

Integrating Millimeter Wave Radar with a Monocular Vision Sensor for On-Road Obstacle Detection Applications

This paper presents a systematic scheme for fusing millimeter wave (MMW) radar and a monocular vision sensor for on-road obstacle detection. As a whole, a three-level fusion strategy based on visual attention mechanism and driver's visual consciousness is provided for MMW radar and monocular vision fusion so as to obtain better comprehensive performance. Then an experimental method for radar-vi...

Radar-vision fusion for vehicle detection

This paper describes a vehicle detection system fusing radar and vision data. Radar data are used to locate areas of interest on images. Vehicle search in these areas is based on vertical symmetry. All vehicles found in different image areas are mixed together and a series of filters are applied in order to delete false positives. The algorithm analyzes images on a frame by frame basis, without...

Terahertz Imaging, Millimeter-wave Radar

The millimeter wave (MMW) band of frequencies extends from 30 GHz to 300 GHz, with some fuzziness on both ends of this spectrum. The terahertz (THz) band extends from about 200 GHz to about 30 THz, despite the fact that the lower frequencies in this range are not strictly 10 Hz or higher. These bands are also variously called submillimeter, far-infrared, and near-millimeter. In recent years, th...
